The jukebox plays my song:
海 - sea {jpop}leadAn obsession - a
big large huge gigantic obsession of mine is to
browse and gaze and ooh at
street fashion in all areas of
Asia, with three places:
Shanghai, Japan and Korea being the destinations that i love. And it always amazes me to see what the boys and girls and the men and women wear. and I love it. I love the thrill of seeking new inspirations, fascinating over the articulation of the outfit, the eccentricity and the expression of one's individuality. One site that I am always anxiously (and quite impatiently) waiting to view is
mcc where the authors only post up chinese streetfashion (from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tokyo and Sydney!) once every month. *cries* why once every month? but i wait because i want. and each month, want becomes inspiration.
And finally, August has come which I believe you and I welcome it with open arms and an ingratiating smile...as well as with a pounding heart of jealousy...But instead of just posting up this month's trendsetters, I have decided to post up a few of my favourites which I just find timeless and wish that I could get away with as a dedication to the mcc site...
i just love this!! it's the orange contrasted with the white. it's so lovely. and the skirt (or is a dress) - does it not remind you of a princess' ballgown? she's a princess.
i happen to have a fascination with gypsies and vintage and the like. the look and feel that gypsies have. this reminds me of that intricate feeling. and who can pull it off in black and white better than this young lady?? im in love with the top.
this is an outfit you would never ever find me in but just because i won't wear it doesn't mean that i don't like it. i actually love it and wish i had the confidence to pull such an outfit off but...i don't really like the colour khaki...but she's so cool.
i just love this photo for the photo. i love this dress and the photo and the white white sand and the blue blue ocean and it's so pretty. the pattern of the dress is wild and so wonderful. it makes me cheerful looking at this. i want to be the photographer.
baggy dresses and long dresses. baggy long skirts and long skirts. standing at 156cm, i never ever buy long dresses unless i have got skyscraper heels to match because to me, i feel very short and stumpy and most likely look it when i do wear anything that goes from hip to ankles. but this girl inspires me, especially since she's wearing flat ankle boots. no heels. hmmm....i like. but then again, it's not really me...
it is the same as the previous picture. the long skirt. but this girl is good and looks good with it, don't you think? and i think she's balanced the outfit so well by using black here and there. and she has the cutest dimples. i want. =p
im not sure what it is about this outft. i think it's the pattern and the colour of the top. and the bomber behind her. it's wonderful.
this is definetly a personal favourite of mine. i don't need to describe it. this girl defines it all.
suspenders. suspenders. need i say more?
So as you can see, I have somewhat pretty eccentric taste. And there is soo much more of the collection that I would love to share with you but I am sure you will be going to the site and become inspired like I have.
It's gorgeous. It's art. It's fashion.
