The jukebox plays my song:"비행기 - Airplane" {kpop}n.poemOkay, it's
Chinese New Year's Eve today and hence, the big celebration -
think red and loud! =D So to celebrate the festivity, I'm going to do something great and amazingly lovely to end the year with. And that is to award 8 favourite blogees of mine (8 = luck & fortune in chinese ^^) with the
YOU MAKE MY DAY AWARD because these blogs absolutely make my day everyday!!

- The Clothes Horse who just makes me want to scream "Become my stylist! Or give me your wardrobe!"
- Aisha for being Aisha and there's no better reason than that.
- Gilda who is uber-funkelicious, eccentric and just fun loving!
- Jennifer who stalks every celebrity and rummages through his/her wardrobe and then tells me all about it to every minute detail.
- Romeika who has a name that I would love to call my future-daughter one day and who just makes me feel at home everytime I read her blog
- Meg for sharing her priceless findings with me.
- Shaz for making me feel better about my constant fashion-disasters when I see the celebs look horrible in such expensive clothes
- Tru for making a wallflower like me feel much more whimsical and cheery whenever I read her posts.
And I would of loved to have chosen WendyB for her gorgeous figure and for her making me whoop with laughter but I know that's she already been awarded. ^^ In addition, I must give a big thank you to Key and Indi who had awarded this award to me. Lots of love. XOXO.
Meanwhile, something even quite as exciting is a wedding to go to and so I did a few days back. Oh gosh, I would of loved to share with you what I wore to the wedding but with my camera broken and now my mp3 with its built in camera broken, I am crying...But at least my mp3 wasn't broken during the wedding so yayes, there's photos to come. Why didn't I take a photo of my outfit then?? Baka... And my, did I have a huge headache back at that time for I had no idea what to wear. It had been so long since I went to a wedding unlike my childhood where there seemed to be a wedding every 3 months. I wished for cold cold cold weather and love, I think God loves me so for it was dreadful cold that day and quite misty. Forgive me for being selfish and forgetting all about the bride and groom's wishes but I wanted to wear my gold up-to-my-knees-dress with puffed-up sleeves and beautiful gold and black accessories to match and gosh, a golden girl - sounds weird, I know. HAHAHAH!! xD And I think I would of been glowing even more if there had been a gorgeous guy to meet at the wedding. HAHAHAH!! Oh gosh. Silly me. =p
And as I'm about to dash off to meet my friends at the city for lunch, I'm just going to let the photos talk. Afterall, a picture speaks a 1000 words right? ^^

By the way,
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

The jukebox plays my song:"Someday We'll Know" {eng}Mandy Moore & Jonathan Foreman
Ah yes, I'm afraid it has been quite awhile since I've blogged and forgive me as sudden headaches to sleeping over at my cousin's house for a few days and to long days of going out and about has tired me so - eg slept at 6:00am yesterday night (this morning?) and woke up at 7:30am this morning (and I dreamt about Rhett Butler in that one & a half hour of sleep - tis true)...
And unfortunately, I've been heartbroken and terribly angry because my sister, the ever so clumsy (and annoying) sister, has broken my camera when she smashed it against the ground....Oh, what to do now??? *cries* OH!! SHE PISSED ME OFF REAL BAD!!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I think I can swear all day and night but I musn't, no, not on this blog... *screams!!!!*
There were so many photos that I wanted to take such as the Chinese New Year Markets, the parties out at night with such lovely views, friends and family, gorgeous flowers that have been blooming, outfits and oh, just about everything!! My dear camera which has shared so many memories with me...
Oh dear...
But Key & Indi has cheered me up so very much and has absolutely made my day by awarding me with the 'You Make My Day Award'. Thank you guys so much!! So very, very sweet! ^^ I'm pretty sure that I'm meant to tag other blogees for this award but for awhile, I'm going to be selfish and keep the award to myself!! xD HAHAHAHA!! No, I'm not that horrible and mean but I'll have to tag the very beautiful blogees in my next post due to unbeknown reasons why I can't seem to view some blogs at the moment. ^^
...Well...Let me go on with the post and share a few photos with you before my camera died a horrible death...
I had promised told myself at the beginning of the year that I would learn how to cook and Monday was meant to be a day of achieving part of this resolution ... Monday had been a public holiday to rejoice Australia Day and was spent at the house of my two cousins who are left with freedom as their folks are out of town. And so that left us five girls to spend the day as we liked - relaxed, slow and relaxed and plenty of snacking.

I must admit that when I made such a resolution to learn to cook, I was thinking of cooking "proper foods", not exactly the "junk/fast food" that I have been making quite recently. LOL. And so I learnt yesterday that Lebanese bread can be used in place of a dough base... in which something along the lines of Hawaiian Pizza and/or kebab wrap were made. Ahahaha!! xD And of course, being lazy as we were, there were plenty of "already-made-food-bought-from-shops" to snack on - and mmm, one of my favourites - pretzels! Yum yum yum!! And all done in front of a television the whole day.

It is usually the case where movies were watched at night with a bowl of popcorn in on our laps. Instead, in broad daylight, the curtains were closed and doors were shut, cushions poofed and plumped and whoa-la, a splendid cinema. =D .

Time went by and we girls found ourselves with our backs sore and really, just aching all over. Is it possible? And so a quick dip in the pool...well really, my feet dipped into the pool for ...oh gosh, I'm just horribly lazy...

And so that was it. It was lazy day and perfectly suited for me.
And my, it has been long since I posted up an entry based on my own whimsical snapshots...^^

The jukebox plays my song:"So Close" {eng}
Jon McLaughlin

Okay, so I'm a nerd but believe me, being a
nerd in a museum is amazingly fun and never ending fascinating. I have come back home not smarter and with no deeper knowledge (I'm afraid) as I have a very fague memory of the millions of facts/info that was bombarded into me today. Oh wait, there is one priceless information I had encountered today (or should I say yesterday since it's 1:50am at the moment?). And yes, this piece of information is totally relevant!! The
Australian Museum says I'm
160cm tall!! YES!
160cm TALL!! (I'm still yet to confirm this with my own metre ruler but I don't want to get my bubble bursted). But damn it, 160cm tall!! I'ts not what you call tall but damn it, I'm pleased. Very pleased. =D

After the day in the museum, I am satisfied and now yearn to explore the world filled with its secrets and specialties. But then again, having been terrified of a stuffed (and somewhat petrified looking) kangaroo, huge alive stick insects jumping around in a glasshouse and discovering huge dead insects inside glass displays - I wonder whether I am able to travel the world without experiencing a heart attack or two. ><" Afterall, I jump on the couch breaking its springs simultaneously when I catch a fleeting glimpse of a skittering beetle across the tile floors of my house and
my heart screams, flutters, thumps and then dies upon me at the sight of a tiny moth blindly kissing the lampshade in the lounge. I kid you not. So imagine what I would do if I sighted this 10cm-wide moth that exists somewhere in
NSW - a somewhere I hope never to be situated in.

The expression goes:
"Crikey! Take a look at that!" Crikey for sure. Indeed, I am feeling very grateful for not advancing into an undergraduate medicine course for I think I would faint on the first day of my lecture -
Biology/Living Systems as a unit of study last year has not helped cure my fear of insects. lol. There are so many insects in this world and I wonder why
God would create such horrible looking creatures. But God must have his reasons. =] Nevertheless, insects do chill me. ><" If only all the dead falcons in the museum would gobble all the insects up but then again, with no isnects to feed on, they would feed on us human beings which I bet would taste much nicer than stick-thin looking insects... lol. Meanwhile, Mum insisted upon taking these pictures of these humongous "gorgeous looking" butterflies. I'm not so sure about "gorgeous" but "humongous" yes.

And trust me, this butterfly (which exists somewhere in
Mexico to
Northern America) is larger than the palm of my hand!! Oh how I hate butterflies. And moths. And all insects that exist on earth. lol. =p My mum felt so happy seeing these creatures with fragile wings as she says it brings back memories of how she as a child used to capture lovely looking butterflies and dangle them on a thread of string to play with. Mum!!? lol. Talk about being bored and insect cruelty. But then look at us today holding a murderous bottle of insect spray when we lay eyes on any crawling/flying creature that is prohibited from entering the house... (o'.'o) I think I have been really bad to the environment . . .
What excited me and made me squeal were the minerals' display. Why?
SUPERMAN! Every fleck of crystal/mineral such as
Vanadinite On Dolomite,Elbaite Tourmaline etc etc (hahaha ^^ I guess I had learnt a few things) that I had seen reminded me of the famous crystal cave hideout and
Krypton. These thoughts of Superman were further embossed into my mind by sighting many people wearing the symbolic block '
S' printed on their chest (t-shirts) and by a little boy beside me who screamed Superman when he saw this "krypton" (in reality -
Hematite) and started to flap his arms around.
The little boy was so adorable. It was lovely to see a boy loving to learn and of course, being excited as me. Do I sound very childish? I think I am... (o'.'o) I had been brainwashed by Superman as a child when I had fallen in love with the late Christopher Reeves and soon afterwards, brainwashed by the likes of Dean Cain and Tom Welling with their perfect worked-out body. kekeke. ^.~
Indeed, I am a nerd who loves Superman and wishes for Superman to save me from the ugly world of insects. lol. xD *dreams* That would be awesome. My sister decided my Superman could buy her all the diamonds, saphires and rubies like that of the collection displayed below:

But I'm afraid my sister has to keep on dreaming...
Well, Superman has x-ray vision (and gorgeous eyes ^^) and so do I! It was off to the skeleton display. I had decided to take a photo of a skeleton dispalyed in a very macabre and theatrical manner but I was told by mum that by taking a photo of a once-living soul, the skeleton's ghost would come alive and haunt the living daylights out of me. I'm very superstitious - I'm not sure whether it's a bad thing or not. So I had quickly deleted the photo hoping that by doing so, the soul of the skeleton would be deleted from the mysterious workings of my camera (and my life...). Little did it help by finding out that the skeleton remains were replicas made by plaster casting as displaying human skeletons in such a manner is banned. It seems that I have forgotten everything that I had studied in Ancient History back in high school...><" Regardless, I didn't want to risk taking another photograph because I knew deep down inside, my Superman would not be able to save me from the ghosts and sucking demons from my life if such a nightmare could occur.
But I wonder, would posting up a photo that I found on the net be okay?? Afterall, someone else took the photo =p ...

[edit at 7:30pm]: Oh no! I finally decided to measure myself just now. Bursted bubble. I'm drowning in my sorrow. I'm aching with ceaseless longing for a growth spurt!!
I'm still 156cm.
Lots of love, Cotton Candy.

The jukebox plays my song:
"Sexyback (remix)" {eng}
Justin Timberlake ft. Missy Elliot

Oh, the hatred of cough and sniffles and anything to do with being sick. Perhaps it was the constant changing of weather, the lack of sensibility to wear a jacket, the laziness, the high fevers and/or the kidney infection but the last few days had been spent fatigued in bed. lol. It seems that at the moment I'm attracting a lot of viruses (and may I mention mosquitoes?? Urgh). But lol, nevermind, sleep makes great medicine for yes(!!) - I feel better again!! No more muggy-ness. And gosh, it's just so very nice to feel awake and refreshed regardless of the humid and stifling weather that I woke up to this morning. And so, I was even more happy and excited to hear thunder booming overhead in the midst of the dark, looming clouds this afternoon. There is something so wonderful about standing still under a grey sky and just letting the breeze touch you lightly, wrap around you and gently bring the scent of rain with it. And what makes the weather even more fun is the simple task of trying to sweep and rake leaves in the garden before the skies open wide.

"The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling. "
Wayne Fields
And that's all for now - just a simple and short post for today. ^^
Take care my dearests!

The jukebox plays my song:"엉뚱한 상상 - irrelevant imagination" {kpop}Andy (ft. Yoo Bin of Wonder Girls)
First of all, before I say anything else, I would like to thank all the people for their best wishes to my grandpa's and my own health. Thank you so much. ^^ I think it is because of everyone's best wishes that I have gotten better and that my grandpa is somewhat-concious. He had finally opened his eyes on Monday and actually gave our family a big smile when he saw us. However, we're not sure whether he recognises us and he is still residing in the Intensive Care Unit and cannot talk. But it's a good start and I'm really happy. So thank you once again for all your best wishes.
And the best thing about getting better is of course, what else but the ability to eat solid, delicious food again!! Yes, no more plain tasteless watery congee! Instead, a banquet to feast upon - for afterall, it was my mum's birthday yesterday. But hush, I can't whisper a word about my mum's age for you see, one of the biggest no-no's is to ask about a woman's age, correct? =p Anyway, oh! There were so many yummy, yummy chinese food to eat but alas, I have no idea what they are called in english. One day, I will figure it out and tell you all. Trust me, chinese food isn't just fried rice - that's just plain boring. There's so much more to chinese food and oh! LOVE. But I forgot to take photos of the dishes. *slaps forehead* Next time, there's always next time. . . =D

Towards the end of the dinner, the rest of my family had laid down their chopsticks and as for I - I kept on eating. My sister said that I looked like a depressed girl comfort eating. Gosh, I wouldn't think of being depressed - I was totally overjoyed but yes, I think I understand. I just kept on eating and eating whilst the rest of the family kept on looking at me and chatting. lol. I'm so embarrassed at the thought of it now. I must have looked so...strange... lol, nevermind.
Meanwhile, it was just so pleasant to go outdoors and take some fresh air without being cooped up inside the house and to just go out to celebrate is even better, especially when you're going to a place with a lovely garden and a lovely interior. I was such a camwhore (please excuse my language ^.~) that night for who doesn't love fountains, waterfalls, flowers, huge sparking christmas trees, chinese lanterns and lovely oriental chinese decorations?? But for some strange reason, I always feel quite uncomfortable taking photos in a restaurant full of people - may it be photos of people, food, interior fittings and decorations - people do like staring, don't you think? lol. But I would stare too. lol! =p kekeke. And anyhow, I love taking photos and love being inspired by everything and anything, like interior designs.

And before we knew it, we (or should I say I?) had gobbled down all the food and back home we went to eat cake.
